A Commitment From Our President

Dollar Bank was founded on the principle that every person, regardless of race, gender or creed, could open a bank account without objection. We did this at a time when it was not popular because we believed all people deserved to be treated with respect and have the opportunity to increase their financial well-being.

As recent events have focused our attention on social injustice, I want to assure you that Dollar Bank stands together with our minority colleagues and all populations whose voices need to be elevated. We are doing this because not only is it the right thing to do, it is at the core of who we are as an institution and what Dollar Bank was founded on.

Diversity and inclusion are foundational principles at Dollar Bank that continue to guide us today and into the future, because it’s how we conduct business. It has never been just about the bottom line with us. We think about the fact that our employees and customers are human beings with feelings, hopes and fears, and when we respect the humanity of all, our bank moves forward. I recognize that it is not enough to simply say the right words, but that my words must be followed by my actions.

To that end, I am committed to strengthening and expanding our diversity and inclusion efforts, ensuring everyone in our Dollar Bank family feels welcome, respected and heard. We will not tolerate hate, injustice or practices that don't align with the value that every human deserves to be treated with respect and have the opportunity to increase their financial well-being. Together we will listen, learn and be a catalyst for positive change in our communities and beyond.
