Your card has a chip embedded on the front left of the card. Chip cards provide an extra layer of security for debit and credit card purchases. They still have a traditional magnetic strip on the back of the card.
Chip Card Technology
Enjoy increased security with chip card technology
At Dollar Bank, the security of your accounts and personal information is our priority. Chip cards provide an extra layer of security.
All Dollar Bank credit and debit cards have an embedded chip for increased security.
How are chip cards more secure?
Each time your chip card is used at a chip-enabled card reader, the chip generates a unique transaction code to complete the purchase. This makes the card information more difficult to copy.
Using your chip card is easy
Step 1
Insert the chip end of your card, facing up, into the card reader.
Step 2
Follow the prompts on the screen.
Step 3
Remove your card when prompted once the transaction is complete.
If you’re not sure if a merchant has a chip-enabled card reader set up, you can ask the cashier and they should be able to guide you with how to complete your purchase.
You still have all the same great card benefits you had before, including Zero Liability Protection.*
