Dollar Bank Appoints New Vice President of Public Affairs

(PITTSBURGH, PA) – Dollar Bank announced today that Maria Amoruso has joined the bank as Vice President of Public Affairs.

Based in Pittsburgh, PA, Amoruso will lead Dollar Bank’s government affairs and media relations across its footprint in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland and Virginia. Amoruso will also be responsible for guiding both internal and external communication efforts for the organization.

“We are excited to welcome Maria to Dollar Bank. Her experience building relationships and reputation as a communications expert will drive new opportunities for us to share our story and values with our employees, customers and the broader community,” said Jim McQuade, President, and CEO of Dollar Bank. “Maria’s steadfast commitment to community banking for the past two decades positions her as a valuable advocate in discussions with legislators and regulators about the importance of fostering an environment where community banks can continue to thrive.”

Amoruso brings more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, joining Dollar Bank from the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA). As ICBA’s Communications Manager, she worked closely with the government relations team to share ICBA’s mission, story and advocacy efforts with the media, association members and consumers.

“Dollar Bank is truly focused on supporting the neighborhoods where we live and work, and to be a part of its history and future is an incredible opportunity. I look forward to working with leaders in all of Dollar Bank’s markets to deepen our ties in the community, to tell the Dollar Bank story and to drive our mission as an inclusive community bank.” said Amoruso.
