Bank @lantec formally opens today as Dollar Bank. As the largest independent mutual bank in the nation, Dollar Bank has been focused on its customers’ needs for more than 162 years.
“We are pleased to officially open Dollar Bank today and be part of the robust and welcoming Hampton Roads community. This integration into Dollar Bank advances our mission of having a strong mutual institution available as an option to compete with national stock-based banks in this region. Our goal is to become a valued, trusted and recognized leader among banking institutions in the region, providing outstanding services for our individual and business customers,” said Jim McQuade, President/CEO of Dollar Bank. “We will now be able to offer our new members in Virginia more extensive products, services and resources.”
As part of its official opening as Dollar Bank, a new Haygood branch opens today equipped with Smart ATMs and Personal Teller Machines (PTMs). This state-of-the-art technology provides customers with real-time, face-to-face conversations with a Dollar Bank employee from 8:00 AM in the morning until 8:00 PM at night.
Dollar Bank has retained all Bank @lantec employees and continues to operate all four Virginia offices with plans to expand operations in the region. Susan Ralston continues her work as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President for Dollar Bank’s Virginia Division. “We believe continuity among employees is critical to a successful transition and to ensuring our customers see a familiar face when they visit Dollar Bank’s Hampton Roads branches,” stated Mr. McQuade. In addition to existing retail operations, Dollar Bank will expand small business and corporate banking services previously offered by Bank @lantec.
