Email Security

With all the Internet scams and identity theft issues, we feel it’s important to let you know what we’re doing in an effort to help you keep your personal and financial information secure.

Please review the security guidelines below that Dollar Bank has in place so you know what questions and information to expect when receiving information from us via email.

Dollar Bank will never send you an email requesting your personal information, account information, Online Banking password or ATM PIN.

The only time we may ask you for your personal information is when you contact us in person or by phone requesting a banking transaction (for example, new account opening request, loan application, the transaction between two accounts, etc.). This information is matched against our customer record for verification.

If you ever encounter this situation outside of these circumstances, or in an email that appears to be from Dollar Bank, please contact our Customer Service Department immediately at 1-800-242-2265, Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

Dollar Bank will never send you an email asking you to download software.

If you ever encounter any other requests to download software in an email that appears to be from Dollar Bank, please contact our Customer Service Department immediately at 1-800-242-2265, Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

If you are uncomfortable clicking a link in an email, we encourage you to type dollar.bank into your browser.

Recent Internet fraud attempts have included email messages with a linked website address, which when clicked takes you directly to a website created to mimic that of a reputable company. The false website may encourage visitors to enter personal information including account numbers, passwords or PINs. This information could then be used to gain unauthorized access to the visitor’s accounts.

You can have peace of mind when you receive an email from dollar.bank that it is more secure than other domains such as .com.  But if you'd prefer, you can type any URL or dollar.bank into your browser. Some Dollar Bank emails may include an unsubscribe link that will only request your email address should you choose to change your email preferences.

When you initiate a request within Online Banking, we will notify you with a security alert to the email address on record.

In an effort to protect you from identity theft, we will notify you with an alert to the email address on record when you log in from an unrecognized device, change your email address, change your password, and more.

Please ensure your email address in Online Banking is up-to-date so you receive these important notifications. To update your email address within Online Banking or our mobile app, go to My Profile > Profile Updates > Email Address.

If you receive a security alert email and the request was not initiated by you or another account holder, please contact Dollar Bank immediately by calling 1-800-242-2265 Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
