Our Welcome Guides details all changes and details about becoming a customer of Dollar Bank; however, here is our list of the top five things to know on your first day as a Dollar Bank customer.

Top Five Quick Start Tips
Debit Card: Your Standard Bank Visa debit card can be used until the end of the day January 22, 2023. Please be sure to destroy your Standard Bank card after this date. You will receive your Dollar Bank debit Mastercard by January 13, 2023. You may call to activate your new card as soon as you receive it and begin using it on January 23, 2023.

To activate your card: 
  1. Call 1-877-494-4499 to activate your new card.
  2. You will need your 16-digit card number and 3-digit security code on the back of the card. For a personal debit card, you will need the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number.

You will receive a letter for each checking account with Dollar Bank debit Mastercard access that will include your 4-digit card PIN. Your PIN can be used when making point-of-sale (POS) purchases or at any ATM. After January 23, 2023, you can choose a new PIN by visiting any Dollar Bank ATM or calling 1-800-242-2265.

Checks: If your account number did NOT change, continue to use your existing Standard Bank checks. When you are ready to order new checks, visit your local office, call 877-838-5287 or visit deluxe.com/checks. Deluxe® is also the check provider for Dollar Bank. If your account number changed, you will automatically receive a free order of 100 duplicate Dollar Bank checks that will arrive by January 17, 2023.

If you have retail accounts at Standard Bank that you currently view and use Standard Bank Personal Online Banking, you will automatically be enrolled in Dollar Bank’s free Online Banking with access to your new Dollar Bank personal accounts. Standard Bank online banking will be unavailable after 7 PM on January 20, 2023. Bill payments can be created, modified or cancelled in Standard Bank Online Bill Pay until this time.

Beginning January 23, 2023, you can log in to Dollar Bank Online Banking by visiting our website homepage and using the login box on the homepage with your existing Standard Bank User ID and password. Please note, during your first login you will be asked to select a phone number on file to receive a one-time passcode to confirm verification.

Information that will transfer:

  • User ID and Password
  • Account names and balances
  • Bill Pay Contacts
  • Bill Pay History
  • Bill Pay scheduled payments (scheduled prior to January 20, 2023)
  • Electronic Statements dating back to January 2021 (available in February 2023)
Information that will NOT transfer:
  • Account activity prior to January 23, 2023
  • People Pay (Replaced by Zelle®)
  • eBills (you may re-enroll in eBills on January 23)
  • Electronic Statements prior to January 2021
 

Your User ID and password for the Dollar Bank Mobile App is identical to your Dollar Bank Online Banking information. Download our mobile app in your phone’s app store on January 23, 2023.

ATM: You can use the Dollar Bank, Allpoint®, and Freedom ATM Alliance® ATM networks for surcharge-free access at over 55,000 ATMs worldwide with your Dollar Bank debit Mastercard or ATM card (surcharges from other banks not in those networks may apply). Find a surcharge-free ATM near you.

Please note, “surcharge-free” means the owner of the ATM does not charge a fee. Certain Dollar Bank accounts may be subject to activity fees for non-Dollar Bank ATMs.

PTM: Many Dollar Bank drive-thru lanes feature Personal Teller Machines (PTMs), creating extended banking hours with a live teller, Monday through Saturday, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM. PTMs also offer all the features of a Smart ATM, 24 hours a day, where you can make withdrawals, transfers, deposits, and balance inquiries. You’ll notice that not only is there no need for a deposit envelope, but the machine will total the amount of your transaction and print copies of deposited checks on your receipt.

Beginning January 23, 2023, you will have full access to all Dollar Bank locations and Dollar Bank’s Customer Care Center. Find a location or ATM near you. Have a specific question and want to talk to a Dollar Bank representative? Please visit our Contact page for phone numbers and directions.

We are committed to creating a smooth transition to Dollar Bank; therefore, we will waive fees related to product monthly service charges, monthly statement fees and non-Dollar Bank ATM fees through April 30, 2023. Surcharges by other banks may apply.

First-time login to Dollar Bank Online Banking on January 23, 2023

The first time you log in to Dollar Bank's Online Banking, you are required to go through a one-time registration process. Your first-time login can be done through Online Banking or our mobile app.  

  1. Go to www.dollar.bank to log in directly from the login box on the homepage, or download and open the Dollar Bank Mobile App. 
  2. Unless you were notified that your User ID needed to change, when logging in, use your current Standard Bank Online Banking User ID and password. 
  3. As part of the first-time login verification process, you will then be prompted to enter your User ID a second time along with your Social Security Number. 
  4. Next, you will be asked to choose which phone number you would like a one-time verification code sent to. This is for security purposes to validate your identity. You can choose whether to receive a text message code to your mobile phone number on file, or a voice code to your mobile, home or work number on file. 
  5. After entering the verification code you are prompted to reset your password, set up your security questions and answers, and review and agree to the Terms and Conditions. This completes your account setup and then you’re ready to access Online Banking!
